The Wind Ensemble offers 3 concerts in 2026 to honor the nation’s anniversary: Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness. The first concert celebrates LIFE and includes wonderful arrangements of Amazing Grace, Aaron Copland’s Simple Gifts and Promise of Living, Runestad’s grieving prayer Let My Love Be Heard, new works Winds of Change and Infinite Hope, and Sousa’s march, Revival.

Gloriæ Dei Cantores and Creare Symphonia, under the direction of Richard K. Pugsley, present a concert of works by Eastern European masters Arvo Pärt and Pēteris Vasks. Pärt’s L’Abbe Agathon, and Vasks’ Da Pacem, Domine, Lord Open Our Eyes, and the Fruit of Silence provide listeners with “food for the soul”— music that reflects suffering and a longing for hope, inner freedom, silence, and faith. Gloriæ Dei Cantores’ performance of Pärt’s work has been hailed as “superbly performed” (Fanfare), “extraordinary.” (Classics Today) and as “A true meeting of East and West.” (OrthoChristian.com)
Beauty for Ashes: A Baroque Meditation

Enter into this season of reflection with a Baroque meditation expressing both sorrow and joy. Gaudete Baroque Ensemble performs Vivaldi’s Sinfonia al Sancto Sepulcro, as well as works by Bach, Corelli, Purcell, and Albinoni’s beautiful Sonata a Cinque in A major. The music will paint “a crown of beauty for ashes and festive praise instead of despair.” (Is. 61:3) As you listen, be illumined by the frescoes and sacred art of the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans. As always, tickets are free for students and youth.
